Hi, I'm Robynne
Filmmaker | photographer
I am a filmmaker and photographer from western Canada, currently based in Scotland. I capture short films, weddings, portrait shoots and more with the Main Character Club here in Edinburgh! I am pursuing a Masters in film directing and aspire to create work that evokes real depth, empathy and joy. I love travelling, drinking whisky, castle chasing and generally chatting with everyone I meet.
My style is laid back, friendly and unobtrusive. I love film grain, nostalgia, dreamy tones, messy candids, vintage influences, a hint of saturation and a perfectly matched musical score.
For as long as I can remember, I've been in love with films. From indie romances to fantasy, to sci-fi and everything in between, I've grown up imagining myself living the lives of the characters in the movies. Film has a way of transporting us, and I've always been 100% invested in the journey. In my work, I aspire to give other's their movie moment, a'la Greta Gerwig (Little Women), Damien Chazelle (LaLa Land) or Richard Curtis (About Time).
